Their Journey
Five years of
living the mission
Bryan and Leslie didn't just work for Wears Valley Ranch — they lived it. As houseparents, they opened their home, their table, and their hearts to over 20 children from some of the hardest circumstances imaginable. They cooked meals, taught classes, stayed up late through hard nights, and celebrated every breakthrough.
They know firsthand what it means when a frightened child becomes a confident teenager. They've watched kids who arrived in crisis leave equipped, loved, and inspired to follow Christ. That's not theory for them — it's their story.
Now, God's made it clear that they've sprinted long enough and it's time to pass the baton to new houseparents. Knowing the impact WVR has on children and the miracles they've witnessed God do here, they feel called to stay in support roles of development and marketing. Bryan and Leslie will help WVR reach more donors, tell more stories, and ultimately serve more children. But this new chapter requires partners — people willing to invest in them so they can invest in the mission.
"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
— 2 Corinthians 9:7Their Timeline at WVR
Arrived as Houseparents
Bryan and Leslie and their two kids, Lucy and Bridge, moved onto the WVR campus, beginning the daily work of family ministry.
Roots Go Deep
Through years of meals, homework, hard conversations, and celebration, God used Bryan and Leslie as a stable, loving presence for children in crisis. They welcomed their third biological child, Beacon. Eight kids came to know Christ for the first time and many grew in knowledge of Him.
Growth & New Vision
Involved in the front line ministry for so long stirred another calling — to help WVR reach more families by supporting the work of development and communications.
